I enjoyed watching this movie because it reminded me of what so many of my family members talk about when they tell stories about coming to the U.S. Everyone comes for the money, to work two or three jobs so that they can save up fast and build a home in their country or send there children to school.
The movie talked about Mexicans leaving the misery but still being noble at heart. They still help their family no matter what. For many families it is very difficult to separate because sometimes they are not able to keep in touch. It was funny when they mentioned how in the U.S. there can be 10-12 people living in a house. It is true because I have known many families who do this. They do it to save money because they have certain goals to accomplish in a certain time frame. They know that getting paid minimum wage is not going to get them very far if they start being picky about living with luxuries.
I know the movie looks at Mexicans in particular but just wanted to let everyone know that every person who comes from Central America go through the same difficulties. They come to work for a better future.
